Cookie policy

What we store in your browser, why, and how to change it.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage — do much the same job using the browser's own storage rather than a file. This policy covers both, and uses "cookies" for convenience throughout.

How we ask for consent

When you first visit choicegrdsocialsprout.beauty, a banner appears at the bottom of the page with three options: accept all cookies, reject everything that is not essential, or open the preferences panel and choose by category. Nothing in the analytics or functional categories is set before you agree. Essential storage is used regardless, because without it the site cannot remember that you have made a choice.

EssentialRecords your cookie choice so the banner is not shown on every page, and supports basic security and load balancing of the site. This site, and our hosting and delivery providerYour stored choice persists until you clear site data; security and delivery items are session-length or short-lived

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed social media widgets that set cookies on our pages.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or change consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which removes the stored choice and brings the banner back on your next visit. You can then choose differently. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not restrict any content on the site.

Blocking cookies in your browser

All major browsers let you block or delete cookies from their settings, usually under a heading such as Privacy, Privacy and security, or Site settings. You can normally block third-party cookies, clear data for a single site, or set the browser to delete everything when it closes. Private or incognito windows discard site storage when the window is closed.

Blocking essential cookies may mean the banner reappears on every page and some preferences are forgotten. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on how the site works for you.

Do Not Track and global privacy signals

Browser-based signals such as Do Not Track are not applied consistently across the web. Where a recognised opt-out signal is received, we treat it as a refusal of non-essential cookies. Your choice in the banner takes precedence over any signal for this site.

Server logs are not cookies

Separately from cookies, our hosting provider records standard server log entries whenever a page is requested, including IP address, page requested and timestamp. That processing is described in the privacy policy and is not controlled by the cookie banner, because it is part of delivering the page rather than storing anything on your device.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a cookie category, we will update this page and, where consent is affected, ask again through the banner. The version on this page is the one that applies.
